Digital Skills

Learn the skills and knowledge you need to safely and effectively navigate our digital world. Learners are assessed on essential skills including computer basics, digital communication, internet safety, and online collaboration. Our hands-on courses allow you to practice with various tools and platforms, providing you with real-world experience. Each class runs 2 days per week for 8-weeks. See the course schedule for more details and minimum English level requirements. 

  • Computers for Work: This class will teach you the basics of computers like mouse and keyboard skills, computer components, turning on and logging in to devices, emails and attachments, managing files and folders, and some customizing options. The knowledge learned in this course will help you to be successful in our other Computer Skills classes, as well as in the workplace!

  • Google Workplace: This class will cover the basics of the main Google applications: Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides. If you would like to earn a Google certification after the course ends, the skills developed in this course will be a good foundation towards that goal. (C2C does not provide financial assistance for that certification at this time.)

  • IT Fundamentals: IT Fundamentals is a two-part prep course for the national ITF+ (U61) certification exam. In Part 1, you will learn about system hardware, data and storage, operating systems, configuring a device, and managing files. In Part 2, you will learn about application software, network and internet connectivity, IT security threats, computer maintenance, IT troubleshooting, databases, and developing and using software. Students will register for the CompTIA certification exam at the end of Part 2. Exam vouchers are provided by C2C. ESL students must complete the Workplace Preparation course before enrolling in IT Fundamentals Part 1.

  • A+: C2C's A+ courses provide detailed instruction and application over the A+ Core 1 and Core 2 certification exam content. Core 1: mobile devices, networking technology, hardware, virtualization and cloud computing. Core 2: operating systems, security, software and operational procedures. Two weeks of exam prep are included at the end of A+ Part 2. Students who successfully complete all portions of the course are provided keycodes for the Scrum.org PSM-1 exam.
    ESL students must complete the Workplace Preparation course and pass the CompTIA ITF+ or C2C ITF content exam before enrolling in A+. 

Workplace Preparation: A required class for all ESL students interested in the IT Fundamentals courses. Learn and practice the skills and knowledge that are essential to the U.S. workplace and culture: English language and conversation styles, U.S. Civics and history, U.S. government, education and healthcare systems, job hunting and networking strategies, and more!
