To enroll in a citizenship class at C2C, students must:
Be 18 years or older, and

  • Must have an A-Number, and

  • Show documentation to prove one of the following statuses:

  • Refugee or asylee;

  • Individuals with approved VAWA petition;

  • Special Immigrant Visa;

  • Others who have submitted I-485 form, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.

Citizenship: 

If you are interested in becoming a United States Citizen, C2C can help! In our classes, you will improve your English fluency and Civics knowledge for the Naturalization Test. All students who attend a Citizenship course can receive legal assistance with their Naturalization application from our partner, CASA de Maryland.

  • High-Beginning ESL & Citizenship: In this exciting class, students will prepare for the Naturalization interview and improve their English for conversation, writing, and reading. English learners at a Beginning level are welcome in this class. Students must have one of the following statuses: Refugee or asylee; Individuals with approved VAWA petition; Special Immigrant Visa; Others who have submitted I-485 form, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.

  • High-Intermediate ESL & Citizenship: In this class, students will prepare for the Naturalization interview and improve their English for conversation, writing, and reading. English learners at an Intermediate level are welcome in this class. Students must have one of the following statuses: Refugee or asylee; Individuals with approved VAWA petition; Special Immigrant Visa; Others who have submitted I-485 form, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.

  • Advanced Citizenship: In this five-week class, students will quickly prepare for the Naturalization interview and improve their English for conversation, writing, and reading. This class is only for Advanced English speakers. Students must have one of the following statuses: Refugee or asylee; Individuals with approved VAWA petition; Special Immigrant Visa; Others who have submitted I-485 form, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.
